for clean
pool water

In addition to regular filtration, water disinfection is one of the most important aspects for hygienic and clean pool water. Many advantages are ascribed to disinfection with a salt system. Salt is used to destroy microorganisms and bacteria - a natural product. In addition, the water becomes softer and feels more comfortable on the skin.

The salt electrolysis system iQontrol SALT-PRO is high quality and functional. On the one hand, the system can be operated inexpensively in manual mode with a fixed production value. On the other hand, fully automatic pH control is possible with the addition of a pH sensor and a dosing pump. In addition, the dosing can be monitored with a redox sensor or optionally with a free chlorine sensor. When the target value is reached, the dosing is stopped, thus reliably preventing overproduction.

hygienically clean

with salt electrolysis

The pool water disinfection is done with salt it is NOT a non-chlorine method.

With salt electrolysis, the pool water is enriched with suitable commercial salt (NaCl - sodium chloride), such as the Smart sea salt from Peraqua®. In the cell of the salt plant, the current flow triggers electrolysis, which splits the salt into free chlorine. It is therefore made from a natural product. The resulting free chlorine destroys microorganisms and is therefore a very strong disinfectant alternative to liquid chlorine.

Chlorine- &
pH-Value

That belongs together!

The pH value, which ideally lies between 7.2 and 7.4, has a major influence on the effective use of a salt system and on perfect water disinfection.
This value, like the chlorine value, must be measured regularly. We therefore recommend the implementation of automatic pH regulation in addition to automatic salt disinfection.

Optimal disinfection

Optimal performance of saltwater chlorination is based on the right choice of chlorine production per hour depending on the pool size.

When using for the first time, we recommend 5 kg of salt per m³ and a redox value of 700 mV. Depending on the chlorine content in the water, the redox value should be increased or decreased.

If the water regularly exceeds 28 °C water temperature,
choose a higher production level than indicated in the table.
